Creating Career Paths for Women in Automotive

JM&A Group is investing in increasing representation and opportunities for women in the retail automotive space by elevating talent through free, immersive training* on leadership skills and key automotive profit centers.

By providing mentorship and development, we aim to identify and upskill more diverse candidates in our sector.

With deep-dives in core automotive profit centers, including F&I, sales and service, plus advanced leadership principles and management training, you’ll elevate your skillsets and bring value back to your team.
Following four days of intensive leadership skills and dealership management training at our headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Florida, you will participate in ongoing virtual sessions covering core dealership operations.
As part of your cohort of 10-15 selected participants, you’ll be supported by your peers through networking opportunities as well as connected to mentors across the industry for

Eligibility Requirements

  • At least 1 year of automotive retail experience
  • Currently employed within auto retail industry (must still be employed in auto industry at the time the class takes place)
  • In good standing with current employer
  • At this time, JM Family associates are not eligible for consideration

To be considered, you must fill out an application form online that includes your information and a brief statement of interest. A selection committee will review applications and select winners, utilizing objective criteria that will be applied equally to all applicants and prioritizing a balanced and diverse cohort.

Frequently Asked Questions

JM&A Group is one of the preeminent dealer partners in the auto retail industry. We have provided F&I products, training, consulting services, and more to over 3,300 dealer partners across the country for the past 45 years. In short, we are auto retail experts who know what it takes to be a leader in the industry.
All women currently employed in the auto retail industry (at both the time of application and enrollment), with at least 1 year of prior auto retail experience, who are in good standing with their employer. At this time JM Family associates are not eligible for consideration.
Other than the program eligibility requirements, there is no prerequisite training or course certification required to participate in this program.
JM&A will provide the program free of charge. Enrollees are responsible for their travel, expenses, and lodging to attend in-person training. Any/all taxes associated with the award are the responsibility of the recipient/enrollee.
There is a 4 day in-person immersion, followed by 3 subsequent 1.5-hour virtual sessions.
Outside of the 4-day in-person immersion and 3 subsequent 1.5-hour virtual sessions, there is no additional time investment required.
JM&A offers in-depth training to the auto retail industry, but is not affiliated with a licensed or accredited school – as a result, this program is not accredited by a US Department of Education-recognized accrediting body.

*Terms and Conditions

JM&A Group reserves the exclusive right, at its sole discretion, to modify, amend, suspend, or terminate the Career Advancement Program (“Program”), including but not limited to its content, terms, conditions, structure, or any aspect thereof, at any time and without prior notice. Participation in the Program is subject to these terms, and JM&A Group assumes no obligation to continue the Program or to provide notice of any changes, suspension, or termination.

Program participants will receive free in-person and online training. The information contained in the training is confidential and proprietary to JM&A Group. All intellectual property rights in the materials, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, and patents, are owned by JM&A Group or its licensors. Unauthorized use of any intellectual property contained in the materials is strictly prohibited. The materials are provided for training and/or informational purposes only and should not be distributed, reproduced, or used for any other purpose without the prior written consent of JM&A Group. JM&A Group assumes no responsibility for any errors or omissions, or for any actions taken and/or consequences arising from the use of the materials provided.

Participants are responsible for their own travel and expenses as well as any taxes associated with their participation in the Program. The participant cannot sell, transfer or assign participation in the Program. If the participant cannot attend any of the Program sessions, JM&A Group will do its best to accommodate participant but makes no representation that makeup classes or adjusted scheduling is possible. JM&A Group does not guarantee any particular outcome from the Program, including career advancement. JM&A Group will not recruit for employment with JM&A Group any Program applicants or participants, however, JM&A Group may consider a participant for employment that responds to a general job posting by JM&A Group or its parent company/affiliated entities.

Participant agrees to waive and release JM&A Group from any and all claims it may have against JM&A Group as it relates to the Program including, but not limited to, the Program content and any claims arising from participation in the Program whether virtual or in-person.
